Sex, and/or Love

Psychoanalysis and the Science of Desire

This seminar analyzes sexual desire through its principal science: psychoanalysis. Because desire is a force rather than an object, this "science of desire" questions the limits of ordinary empiricism by placing questioning — with its attendant themes of trust and doubt, obsession and uncertainty — at the center of existence. Topics include paid sex, consensual non-consent, the biology and evolution of sex, female orgasm, self-harm and self-pleasure, the ungovernable, and the futurity of romance.

Coining Reason

The ideas of economists and political philosophers, both when they are right and when they are wrong, are more powerful than is commonly understood. Indeed the world is ruled by little else. — John Maynard Keynes

Coining Reason explores ideas related to Web3 through texts spanning economics, philosophy, politics, psychoanalysis, law, ecology, business, art, and religion. The breadth reflects an urgent necessity: financialization means practically all aspects of life are now subsumed by the rule and roil of coin, so that any single disciplinary approach is apt to miss those "constellations of facts" that index more potent realities.
